Shooting Sports Open House

Everyone is invited to come see what the Shooting Sports Program is all about! Friday, March 28 4 to 8 pm Cost $5 Dead On Archery, 2600 E Franklin Rd #100, Meridian Try your hand at archery or rifle while you're there! Adults are invited to learn about opportunities to volunteer with this program. You can also sign up for a shooting competition on Saturday, March 29th and Sunday, March 30th. Call 287-5900 for more information. ** This is event is open to all youth ages 8 and up. (as of January 1, 2014)**

Western Idaho Poultry Clinic

Birds of a Feather 4-H Club is once again hosting the poultry clinic on Saturday, April 19 at Expo Idaho Small Animal Barn at 9 am. Everyone is invited to attend this free event. There will be information on preparing your birds for the fair and showmanship along with games and raffles. Refreshments will also be available. And of course, your bird is welcome to attend! Idaho Horsemanship Award

The Idaho Horsemanship Award is a test of knowledge and skills in horsemanship. The award honors the most talented youth riders in Idaho! The award is open to all youth 14 and up (as of January 1, 2014) and not more than 19 years old during the calendar year. Applicants must also be enrolled in an organized horse program. The applicant must manage or own the horse used to compete a minimum of 120 days before the performance test. The application is due on Friday, February 7 to the Ada County Extension Office. The written test will be scheduled between the 24th and 28th of February. The performance test will be on September 14. For more information call Dana at 287-5900.
