Small Animal Educational Carnival!

Learn about your small animal at the Educational Carnival! There will be games and prizes for everyone. Saturday, February 6 9:30 am - Noon Expo Idaho (Use the Hawks Stadium entrance to the Small Animal Barn) Everyone is welcome to attend, but we do ask that our Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) have an adult in attendance. No need to pre-register, just come on out! Animals are not invited this year, so they get to take a break!

Junior Livestock Sale Lottery Information for Beef and Swine

Please find below the links for the lottery forms for swine and beef animals that would normally go resale at the Western Idaho Fair. They explain the process of the lottery and how someone can sign up to be in the lottery for pig or beef. Summer Overnight Camps

Spend time in Donnelly on Cascade Lake with the 4-H Adventure Camp. This camp is open to youth in grades 3rd to 8th. Stay in log cabins and enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, archery, and more outdoor activities. There are also team building activities and workshops too. June Kids Camp Grades 3-5 June 26-29 Cost $190 if paid by June 12th August Kids Camp Grades 3-5 July 31-August 3 Cost $190 if paid by July 17th Teen Camp Grades 6-8 July 6-10 Cost $230 if paid by June 22 To register for camp fill out the registration form and return or go online to Cascade Lake 4-H Camp and pay online!

4-H Cat Project

4-H County Cat Project! Learn all about cats from different breeds, grooming, health and more! This project will help you learn more about cats and how to show your cat in the 4-H Cat Show. After completing this 4 week project you will show at the Western Idaho Fair! Wednesdays, June 3-24 6:00 - 7:30 pm Ada County Extension Office Cost: $15 (includes $10 4-H enrollment fee) Ages 6-18 To complete this project you will bring your cat to all meetings along with a leash, "H" harness, and carrier. Ada County 4-H Benefit Dinner

It's almost time for the annual benefit dinner. Proceeds benefit the Ada County Leader's Association. The tickets are $25 each or 2 for $40. They can be purchased here by clicking on the buy ticket icon on the right or at the Extension Office. The dinner starts at 6:30 pm and the live auction begins at 7 pm. Auction items include experience packages for family fun nights, couples get aways, outdoor adventure, sports, and more! There will also be smaller items available throughout the evening. Show your support for the Ada County 4-H program and 4-H leaders by attending this event! Jnuior Master Gardener Class

Check out our new county project events! The Junior Master Gardener (JMG) program is designed for gardeners ages 9 to 12. Learn about plants, soils, gardening, and insects. You will become certified in the Golden Ray Series and complete a 4-H project that you can also show at the Western Idaho Fair. Farmway Village Egg Drop

It's time for the 4th annual Farmway Village Egg Drop! Can you build an Egg Transport Vehicle (ETV) that will protect your egg? You can win prizes if your design can protect your egg from a 25 foot and 35 foot drop! ETV Egg Drop Competition: Open to youth ages 8 to 14 Build your ETV following these rules Register by the deadline of Friday, March 27 Pay registration fee of $6 per person There is also a Naked Egg Drop. This category is just for fun and no prizes will be awarded for this event. You can also participate in the Tech Wizard Day Camp during this event! Teen Mania

4-H members in grades 7 to 12 are encouraged to attend this series of workshops hosted by the Canyon County Extension Office. This is a great opportunity to meet other 4-H members and learn new skills! The cost is $10 if paid by January 23. You should also bring two cans of food for the Idaho Food Bank. Adventure Camp Counselors

Would you like to spend time this summer working with youth while improving your leadership skills? The Adventure Camp Counselor Program is a great opportunity to accomplish both! This program is open to teens currently in 9th grade to 12th grade. We provide multiple trainings during the winter and spring. Attend camp retreat in June to help hone the skills learned in trainings. There are three overnight camps during the summer near Donnelly. Transportation is provided!
