Healthy 4-H Club Challenge

Join the Idaho 4-H Healthy Club Challenge! Learn about healthy habits, nutrition, and getting active! The goals of the challenge includes encouraging youth and leaders to learn about nutrition and health. To practice what they learn with their families and teach others healthy habits. The criteria to participate in the Healthy 4-H club Challenge are: During the year incorporate one nutrition idea/activity into at least 6 club meetings Elect a Health Office to conduct nutrition ideas/activities and record keeping 4-H members are encouraged to complete the at home activities Club record sheets and completed fair display turned in to the Ada County Extension Office Complete a service learning project related to health and nutrition The winning club will receive special recognition at a later date! 4-H Benefit and Dinner

Saturday, March 15 is the annual 4-H Benefit Dinner. All proceeds will benefit Ada County 4-H. Everyone is invited to attend and show their support for the 4-H program. There will be a tri-tip dinner, baked potato, and salad. Top off your meal with a desert raffle featured hand made and specialty deserts. Local businesses and individuals have donated luxury items, themed packages, dinners at some of the best restaurants in Boise, and more. Along with the raffle there will be a live and silent auction. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 15 at Center at the Park, 1920 N Records Ave, Meridian. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 for a couple. Tickets are available at the Ada County Extension Office. Call 287-5900 for more information. Unfortunately, the tickets are no longer available for purchase online. Spring Break Day Camps

Are you looking for something to do during spring break? It's time for the 2014 Ada County 4-H Spring Break Day Camps. We're offering camps on a variety of subjects for different age groups. You can sign up for the camps online at Camp Registration. WeDo Robotics - March 24,  Ages 6-9, Cost: $13 Learn how to make and program a simple robot and create a story with your robot. NXT Robotics - March 25, Ages 9-14, Cost: $13 Build a program a Mindstorm robot River Scavenger Hunt, March 26, Ages 9-14, Cost: $13 Explore the Boise Watershed and go on a scavenger hunt. Filled with outdoor adventure! Decorate Your Duds, March 27, Ages 7-14, Cost: $13 Add new life to your clothes, personalize them, and decorate them. Eco-Bot Challenge, March 28, Ages 9-14, Cost: $13 Join an engineering team and program a robot to meet the challenge.
