4-H Healthy Living - Preserving with Kids

If you're thinking about a gardening project this year consider the food preservation projects too! You can combine two projects while enjoying your produce year around.

The 4-H Food Preservation project includes drying, freezing, canning, and pressure canning. These re-vamped project manuals are available through the University of Idaho.

We're also offering an extensive 4 hour workshop on these projects on Thursday, May, 1 from 1 to 5 pm at the Ada County Extension Office. The cost is $10 which includes manuals and supplies. The workshop is taught by Extension Educators from across the state.
