Monthly Calendar June

Summer is almost here and there is so much to do! Check it out: June 3: District II Horse Camp Orientation, Canyon County Extension, 7 pm. This is mandatory for everyone attending camp. June 3: Sheep Field Day, Owyhee County Fairgrounds, 1 pm. Learn about your breeding project including nutrition, record keeping, and more! The cost is $2. Call 896-4104 for more information. June 4: Swine Field Day, Gem County Fairgrounds, 1 pm. Centered on breeding swine. The cost is $2 per person. Call 365-6363 for more information. June 5: Ada County Leader's Meeting, Ada County Extension, 7 pm. Leaders need to attend two meetings a year and there are only two left before the fair! June 7: District II Horse Judging and Hippology. Must qualify at the county level to attend. June 9-13: Teen Conference, University of Idaho, Moscow. Archery Class

Would you like to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow? At this class not only will learn about shooting, proper form and safety, you will also complete a 4-H project to take it to the Western Idaho Fair. This class will be Tuesdays beginning June 3 to July 22 at Dead On Archery, 2006 E Franklin Rd, Meridian, 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The cost is $40. Participants must be 8 years by January 1, 2014. Send the  archery registration  in by Friday, May 30.

May Monthly 4-H Calendar

Check out these events for the month of May! May 6 - Deadline to turn COOL forms in for the Swine Project. Forms need to be turned in to the Ada County Extension Office by 5 pm. Include a picture of the pig with the ear tag, $4 per head. This is for any market swine showing at the Western Idaho Fair for 4-H or FFA. May 9 - Registration due for the District II Horse Camp. Send to 5880 Glenwood, Boise 83714. This camp is open to all members of a youth horse organization. May 10 - Rabbit and Cavy Workshop, D & B Supply, 12th Ave, Nampa. Check in at 8:30 am.
