May Monthly 4-H Calendar

Check out these events for the month of May!

May 6 - Deadline to turn COOL forms in for the Swine Project. Forms need to be turned in to the Ada County Extension Office by 5 pm. Include a picture of the pig with the ear tag, $4 per head. This is for any market swine showing at the Western Idaho Fair for 4-H or FFA.

May 9 - Registration due for the District II Horse Camp. Send to 5880 Glenwood, Boise 83714. This camp is open to all members of a youth horse organization.

May 10 - Rabbit and Cavy Workshop, D & B Supply, 12th Ave, Nampa. Check in at 8:30 am. There will be Royalty like activities and workshops. The cost is $6 per person. Call Michelle at 989-2405  (mls1517@yahoo.com) for more information.

May 13 - Canyon County Sheep and Market Goat Weigh In. 4 to 7 pm, Canyon County Fairgrounds. This is for all market sheep and goats showing at the Canyon County Fair for 4-H and FFA.

May 15 - Ada County Sheep and Goat Weigh In. 4 to 7 pm at the Expo Idaho. This is for all market sheep and goats showing at the Western Idaho Fair for 4-H and FFA.

May 17 - Western Heritage Clinic, 3K Ranch, 9 to 12. Learn about ranch riding, roping, penning, and trail riding.

May 21 - District II Horse Judging and Hippology registration forms are due to Ada County Extension Office. Must qualify at the county level to attend these events.

May 23 - Join us at Jump Time on River St, Boise from 6 to 8 pm for a fundraiser to benefit our exchange program. A group of 4-H members from Minnesota will be traveling here in June. Everyone is welcome to attend this fundraiser, just mention 4-H when you arrive and a portion of the proceeds will go towards 4-H!

May 31 - Ada County English Horse Show at Expo Idaho. This is a schooling show and show attire is not required. The fee is $6 per class or $25 for the day. Call Ginny 884-3071 (kelschfamily4@hotmail.com ) for more information. Register by May 17!
