Idaho 4-H Archery Contest

It's time for the annual state 4-H Archery Contest to be held June 10-12 at the Caldwell Gun Club in Caldwell!

This contest is open to 4-H members ages 8 and up (ages as of January 1, 2016) The scores will also be used to determine overall eligibility to the 2017 National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational.

There will be a 1/2 FITA and 3-D course of fire. For more information please see the Archery Registration Form.

We can always use more volunteers. Call 287-5900 if you are interested in helping with the contest. There will also be RV sites available for $10 a night or a full hook-up RV park within a mile from the event.

BLM Weanling Wild Horse Training Program

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and University of Idaho 4-H Youth Development are partnering to offer an opportunity for 4-H Horse Clubs to train weanling Mustangs. 4-H clubs will choose their horse on Saturday, February 18 and condition and train the horse for 60 to 90 days. These horses will participate in a "Trail Challenge" on April 7 and the top 10 will be eligible to be shown at the Idaho Horse Expo on April 20 to 22. The application should be postmarked by February 12th or you may bring the paperwork with you on February 18.

Ada County Summer Day Camps!

Summer will be here soon and we have some great day camps for this summer! You can do everything from fight zombies to creating your own robot to exploring the great outdoors. It's all waiting for you here! 4-H Day Camps are open to everyone! You don't need to be in 4-H to attend the camps. All camps are held at the Ada County Extension Office unless otherwise noted.
